Anassa was born from a deep connection to Greece — its beauty, its traditions, and its spirit.

The name itself means Queen in ancient Greek, a tribute to the timeless grace and strength found in the country’s heritage.

I grew up surrounded by the sea, olive groves, and the gentle rhythm of Greek life. Later, life carried me to Paris, and for the past seven years, to the UAE, where my family and I have built our home. Yet no matter where I’ve lived, Greece has always lived in me.

When I arrived in the UAE, I found myself longing for the textures, colors, and craftsmanship of my homeland. That longing became the foundation for Anassa.

My mission is simple: to bring authentic, handmade Greek creations to this part of the world, and to celebrate the artisans who keep these traditions alive.

Our towels are at the heart of Anassa. They are crafted in Greece by skilled hands, using traditional techniques that honor heritage and embrace sustainability. Each piece — from our beach towels and pouches to our bags and kaftans — reflects a story of artistry, care, and respect for nature.
